Setting Captives Free — One Life at a Time
"The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord is on me... to proclaim freedom for the captives and release from darkness for the prisoners." — Isaiah 61:1
Your Chance Ranch exists to participate with God in setting the captives free by carrying the message to others and equipping them to do the same.
"They will be called oaks of righteousness, a planting of the Lord for the display of His splendor." — Isaiah 61:3
An 18-month transformational journey designed to help young men step out of denial, step into God's grace, and become ambassadors equipped to carry Christ's message to others.
The ranch provides daily application lessons for recovery and discipleship. Group work on a cattle operation facilitates moving from a chaotic life to one of order, discipline, and purpose—teaching responsibility through caring for God's creation.
Nine months focused on stepping out of denial and into a relationship with Jesus through the 12 Steps of AA and 8 Principles of Celebrate Recovery. Individual development plans and counseling address deep heart wounds for lasting freedom.
The final nine months equip disciples with spiritual, physical, emotional, and mental skills to be on mission. Life skills development and leadership coaching prepare graduates to reproduce healthy overcomers and carry Christ's message forward.
The foundation upon which Your Chance Ranch is built—values that guide every decision, every relationship, and every transformed life.
Because we are working for God, not for human masters. Every task on the ranch, every counseling session, every meal prepared is an act of worship.
A family environment where healing and growth happen naturally—where it's safe to fail, safe to be honest, and safe to become who God created you to be.
Allowing people to be who God created them to be. Meeting them where they are with unconditional love, just as Christ meets us.
Transformation happens through honesty, willingness, and faithfulness. We encourage vulnerability and authenticity as the path to freedom.
Operating a cattle ranch teaches discipline, responsibility, and dependence on God. Living from the land provides lessons that no classroom can teach.
Freely we have received, freely we give. Graduates don't just get well—they become givers who carry the message to others still struggling.
Working together in teams to fulfill the purpose, vision, and mission. Leaders serve; they don't lord over. Everyone has something to contribute.
This isn't a business—it's kingdom work. Every resource, every relationship, every effort is an investment in eternal transformation.
The vision for Your Chance Ranch was born from personal experience and a deep calling to serve. With 31 years of personal sobriety and decades of ministry in recovery programs including AA, Al-Anon, and Celebrate Recovery, Russ brings both lived experience and professional expertise to this mission.
Together, Russ and Renee have been faithfully serving a higher calling their whole lives. Now, as they step into this new chapter, they're dedicating their resources, knowledge, and hearts to creating a place where broken lives can be made whole through the transforming power of Jesus Christ.
